Conference Objective:

The Developers Conference will give system designers, design engineers and battery manufacturers the opportunity to talk with the top technical experts for SBS, SMBus and ACPI.  

Who should attend? Mobile system OEM's, battery manufacturers and SBS product vendors

Call for Papers:

If you would like to submit a paper for the conference presentation or the conference binder, please submit your request to the Conference Registrar (webmaster@sbs-forum.org). Topics could include current and future battery technologies, pros and cons of Smart Battery Systems, comments to smart Battery Systems, etc. We will carefully consider all requests.

  • Tuesday 6PM to 10PM: Evening Party
  • Some "Surprise Events" are planned so stay tuned

Conference Fees:

All SBS IF members pay no registration fee to attend the Developers' Conference.

Each attendee of a non-member company may register to the Developers Conference for $495 (US dollars). If your company joins the SBS IF before September 25, 2001, the paid registration fees may be applied fully toward the first year's annual membership.

The event will be held at the The Westin Taipei.  A block of rooms have been reserved for conference attendees and press at the discounted rate, US$145.00 / night (single occupancy).  Be sure to make your room reservations as soon as possible. The block of rooms for the SBS-IF will only be held until June 17, 2001, or until the block is filled Any booking made after this cutoff date or after the block is filled will be subject to the availability and standard room and suite rates.

Plugfest X -- Interoperability Session Instructions

The Plugfest X Information Page is available to SBS IF Members. Please click on the link to access this page in the Members Site. This checklist will help you get ready for the Plugfest:

  1. Did you register for the conference? Click here to go to Registration
  2. Has your company attended an SBS-IF Plugfest in the past? You may already have completed an Interoperability Workshop Agreement. To participate, your company must submit this agreement prior to testing.
  3. Attendees to the Plugfest need to let us know what you will plan to test. Submit a completed Product Information Form.
  4. FAX all completed Interoperability Workshop (Plugfest) documents to:

Rules:
All Interoperability Workshop participants will be asked to sign an Interoperability Workshop Agreement to ensure non-disclosure of individual product information in an open environment. If your company has already completed an NDA for a prior PlugFest, you do not need to complete another one. Conference-only participants do not need to fill out this form. Note that this is a link to the Members site. You may download either a PDF or Word DOC formatted file.

Attendance at working group sessions (marked in the schedule with an asterisk) is only open to members of Smart Battery System (SBS) Implementers Forum.
